To create a festive atmosphere at the Residence du Carré Royal, a thematic social activity is organized once a month.  These very much appreciated events give the employees, the social workers, the residents and the volunteers involved an opportunity to socialize together.

On June 27^th the theme was “Ah….. those sweet berries” (referring to the annual strawberry and raspberry season in the Sorel-Tracy region).  The menu was very colourful!  And, of course, the famous culinary speciality of the area, the “gibelotte” (a deliciously hearty fish soup, stocked with vegetables), was served as the main course.  To top everything off, a variety of tasty desserts featuring our favourite summer berries was offered.

After the meal everyone was invited to participate in a period of sing-along, traditional ballads and square dancing accompanied by the accordion.  Our employees joined in the singing and succeeded in greatly amusing their audience.  You can see by yourself that the activity was simply a whole lot of fun!
